The Opportunity
Chaparral Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our growing team of providers delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. As an Internist, you will play a pivotal role in managing a broad spectrum of adult medical conditions, coordinating care with specialists, and helping patients live healthier lives. What you'll do

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of adult medical conditions, including infections, chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease), and complex cases
  • Provide comprehensive, ongoing care including preventive services, routine health maintenance, and chronic disease management
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EKGs
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments to support effective management of patient conditions
  • Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, preventive strategies, and self-care for chronic disease management
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless and holistic treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date patient records in our EMR system
  • Stay current on medical advancements, evidence-based care, and industry standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in team-based care and contribute to continuous improvement of clinical protocols and workflows
  • Work with our Product team to continue to develop our AI and charting capabilities

Who You Are

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution (required)
  • Completed residency in Internal Medicine (required)
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in California (required)
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care
