\n An ICG client is currently seeking an experienced consultant<\/span> <\/span><\/b>for<\/span> <\/span><\/b>a short\-medium term contract basis. The engagement is 4 months with a view to extend for the right person. The work is based in Sydney.<\/span><\/span>

Role<\/span>

\n The client needs a <\/span><\/span>Subject Matter Expert <\/span><\/b>who can also assist with the stewardship of the engagement. You will have extensive experience working in buy\-side procurement extremely large telecommunications spends, across a large, multi\-faceted organisations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n <\/div>\n \n
<\/span>\n <\/div>Ideally the candidates should have:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n \n - 10+ years of business\/commercial experience in a procurement function for a blue\-chip business in Australia OR 10+ years of consulting experience in a tier one firm (generalist with procurement or procurement focussed)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - Proven and detailed knowledge of all major telecommunication players, trends and technologies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - Must have broad experience across products\/services and have demonstrated experience with negotiating the optimal bundle for a large complex business\/es<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - You must have familiarity with all service towers - Mobiles, Fixed carriage, Managed Carriage, Contact Centres, Unified Communications, Data Carriage, General and Support Services<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n \n \n <\/div> Candidates must also be able to:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>\n \n - Set\/agree daily priorities every morning to ensure the required outputs are delivered by each team member on a daily basis<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - Must have fluent verbal and written English<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - Very strong verbal communication skills and ability influence line management as well as c\-suite stakeholders<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - Strong PowerPoint and analytical skills with the ability to structure a clear storyline supported with high quality insightful slides containing high quality analysis and clear findings.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - Guide strategy\/thinking and ensure delivery of improvements to or before target timeframes<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n - The project will be supported by a Partner and a team. They will provide guidance and a sounding board through both engagements.<\/span><\/span>

\n \n Logistics<\/span>
\n <\/div>\n \n \n <\/div>\n \n \n Start date: <\/span><\/b>The client is looking to start in June. Given the current situation with air travel you will ideally be Sydney based but out of state applicants should still apply. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n Typically out of state applicants would fly to site on a Monday and back home on Thursday, with Friday as a work from home day but the current may require them to work from home, at least in the early stages.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n Location: <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>Sydney based. The Client covers expenses and incidentals.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n <\/div>\n \n \n <\/div>\n \n Rates: <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>Will depend on the level of experience. The daily rate for the successful candidate will likely be between $1,500 and $2000 AUD per day plus GST.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
