As a hands\-on Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day\-to\-day running of the kitchen, including food cost, ordering and plating up exceptional quality food. Working closely with the General Manager and owners you will lead the highly capable team and will motivate and encourage the kitchen to continually grow and develop their skills and passion for food.
<\/p>

Requirements<\/h3>

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:<\/b>
<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef, preferably within a high\-volume kitchen
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in creative menu design and implementation
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ability to manage ordering, including stock levels, budgets and suppliers
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Experience managing a team, including training, development and rostering
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCAP
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Strong organisational skills
    <\/span><\/li>\n <\/ul>\n

    • 5 weeks annual leave\- Additional Week leave between Christmas and New Years (New Years Eve Function but closed New Year's Day).

    • Saturdays only when required for functions and events\- you will be writing the roster
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • No public Holidays
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • 39\- 45 hours per week on average
