Purpose
As the Hotel Accountant, you will be an essential member of the Accor Shared Services team, playing a key role in review, reconciliation, reporting and support for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio.
This position is ideal for a competent Accountant or Assistant Accountant that is seeking to work in an exciting and dynamic environment whilst advancing their career
Primary Responsibilities
- End of month preparation, review & reporting
- Monthly/Annual - Financial report collation & distribution
- Balance sheet preparation & maintenances
- Monthly FBT data review, distribution, communication and full year report preparation
- Monthly tax preparation and payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist in monthly forecasting preparation
- Assist with internal audit control reviews
- AR credit meeting attendance/ aged debt maintenance
- Assist in annual budgeting process
- Support Area Finance & Property teams in daily/annual requirements when required
Skills and Experience
- A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce
- CA or CPA qualifications is a plus
- Proven track record and strong understanding of management accounting
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills across a wide-range of stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure within tight time frames
- A can do attitude
