Our business partner is a wellregarded, privately owned engineering consultancy with a growing Gold Coast presence, operating as part of a broader national engineering group.

They are known for delivering highquality geotechnical and geological services across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, supported by strong inhouse construction materials testing and drilling capabilities. The business places a strong emphasis on technical excellence, mentoring, and practical, sitebased engineering.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for an Engineering Geologist, from graduate through to approximately 8 years experience, to join a growing Gold Coast team.

The role offers a strong mix of fieldbased investigations, geological logging, reporting, and construction support, with the opportunity to work closely with geotechnical engineers, senior practitioners, and business partner representatives.

Whether you are early in your career and looking for handson experience and mentoring, or a more experienced engineering geologist seeking broader responsibility and project exposure, this role offers a supportive environment with clear development pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and support geotechnical and geological site investigations
  • Geological and geotechnical logging of boreholes, test pits and excavations
  • Assist with subsurface characterisation and ground model development
  • Prepare factual and interpretive geological and geotechnical reports
  • Provide construction support and verification services
  • Support geohazard identification and risk assessment
  • Work closely with geotechnical engineers, business partners, and contractors
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and professionalism on site

Ideal Client Profile

  • Degree qualified in Engineering Geology, Geology, or a related discipline
  • Graduate to approximately 8 years experience in engineering geology or geotechnical environments
  • Strong site investigation and logging experience
  • Comfortable working in the field and on active construction sites
  • Able to produce clear, accurate factual and interpretive reports
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Proactive, practical, and keen to continue developing technical capability
  • Current Class C drivers licence
