The Role
This role, appointed at either Development Director or State Manager level, will lead the Queensland business and its people, with full accountability for performance, culture and growth.
As a senior executive leader, you will set clear strategic direction for the Queensland portfolio, drive profitable financial outcomes and oversee the successful delivery of multiple development projects. You will lead a highperforming, multidisciplinary team and ensure the business continues to create value for stakeholders while delivering developments that positively impact the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership to the Queensland team, fostering a highperformance, valuesled culture
- Build leadership capability and depth through effective recruitment, development, succession planning and performance management
- Establish clear expectations, accountability frameworks and continuous improvement practices
- Lead the Queensland office as a profit centre, with full responsibility for budgets, forecasting and financial performance
- Oversee the delivery of a diverse development portfolio to agreed program, financial, quality and design outcomes
- Provide highquality reporting, insights and recommendations to the Executive team and Board
- Drive growth through site acquisitions, joint ventures and capital partnering opportunities
- Represent Cedar Woods with key partners, government bodies and industry stakeholders
About You
You are a seasoned property development leader who values people as much as performance. You lead with clarity, empathy and conviction, setting high standards while creating an environment where teams can succeed.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in residential property development, ideally across both Land and Built-Form
- Demonstrated success leading and scaling high-performing teams
- A collaborative, people-first leadership style underpinned by commercial discipline
- Strong financial and risk management capability
- Well-developed stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The confidence and judgement to operate at Executive and Board level
- Strong knowledge of the SEQ market and proven expertise in successful acquisition of new projects
