HR & Payroll Compliance Consultant (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia)
Position Overview
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Compliance Consultant to support a regional compliance assessment across Southeast Asia. The consultant will participate in the discovery and risk assessment phases, identifying potential gaps in HR and payroll practices, documentation, and statutory alignment across multiple countries.
Responsibilities
Support regional HR and payroll compliance discovery and risk assessment activities across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
Review country-level processes and documentation to identify areas that may present compliance risks.
Evaluate HR and payroll controls related to employment, benefits, and statutory filings.
Collaborate with internal HR, Finance, and vendor teams to gather information and clarify compliance procedures.
Prepare structured assessment notes, risk summaries, and recommendations for follow-up review.
Required Qualification(s)
Minimum 5 years of experience in HR or payroll compliance, audit, or process assessment.
Knowledge of employment and payroll regulations across Southeast Asia.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Proven ability to support regional teams and communicate findings clearly.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualification(s)
Prior experience supporting multinational HR or payroll audits.
Familiarity with regional labor and statutory environments.
Experience with global payroll or HR systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday).
Duration
This is a project-based consulting opportunity with an expected start date in December 2025, running through February 2026, with possible extension.
Level of Effort
Approximately 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility during active assessment phases.
Working Hours
Business hours aligned with Southeast Asia time zones. Remote engagement.
