We’re recruiting on behalf of a high-growth international accounting and advisory group for a Senior Accountant in their Sydney Tax & business advisory team. Ideal for someone who enjoys client relationships, mentoring juniors and being part of a collaborative, ambitious firm.

The role
You’ll manage a portfolio of business clients, handle key compliance work and support emerging advisory opportunities, while coaching junior staff and contributing to a high-performance culture.
Key responsibilities:
Year-end accounts and tax compliance for a portfolio of business clients
Preparation and review of financial statements, workpapers, income tax and FBT returns
Preparation of BAS and IAS
Management reporting and support with general advisory queries
Managing the tax lodgement program and deadlines
Supervising and reviewing work of junior accountants with on-the-job coaching
Supporting process and quality improvements within the team
About you
Currently in an Australian public practice firm (business services/tax), you are looking for more scope, responsibility and a visible career path.
You will bring:
Around 4+ years’ experience in business services / tax in an accounting firm
Degree in Accounting / Commerce
CA or CPA qualified or near completion
Solid Australian tax and compliance knowledge
Strong communication skills and confidence building client relationships
Enjoyment of mentoring juniors and contributing to a positive team culture
Proactive, organised and comfortable in a growth environment
