Account Manager
The Account Manager is a critical role within the Customer Success department that partners directly with Sales to service our advertising agency partners and execute high-performing advertising campaigns. The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring campaigns exceed expectations - driving renewals and strengthening relationships with clients across both direct and programmatic environments.
The role involves coordinating internal teams, reviewing and interpreting performance data, and proactively identifying opportunities for growth. Account Managers will support the execution of direct and programmatic campaigns by managing day-to-day setup, activation, monitoring, and reporting needs, ensuring the delivery of a seamless client experience and campaign success.
Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. For this position, in-person/office collaboration is required 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays), supporting a balanced approach to flexibility and team engagement.
What You'll Achieve
- Own the end-to-end campaign lifecycle (kickoff through wrap), including trafficking, QA, optimization, and reporting across direct and programmatic campaigns
- Execute and optimize campaigns daily by monitoring pacing, delivery, and KPI performance
- Partner cross-functionally with AdOps, Design, Engineering, and Sales to ensure seamless campaign execution
- Lead internal coordination (pod meetings, documentation, timelines) to keep campaigns on track
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and trading desks
- Present campaign performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
- Identify upsell, cross-channel, and renewal opportunities within existing accounts
- Support Sales by leveraging campaign success and client insights to drive future revenue
Skills You'll Bring
- 1-2+ years of experience in digital media (Account Management, Media Planning, or similar)
- Working knowledge of programmatic advertising (e.g., RTB, Deal IDs, campaign activation)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with client-facing experience
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Familiarity with ad tech platforms and tools (e.g., DoubleClick, IAS, DoubleVerify, Salesforce, JIRA)
- Understanding of digital advertising fundamentals, agency structures, and client service best practices
