About the role

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality orthopaedic care.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide inpatient and on-call orthopaedic services at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.
  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centred surgical care across a range of diverse orthopaedic subspecialties
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled nursing and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Mater will support you in your transition to private practice, including access to established referral networks and administrative assistance.

About you
Essential:

  • Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedic Surgery or equivalent.

Clinical / Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrated expertise in orthopaedic surgical procedures.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
