Your Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Surveyor to join our Survey team based in Sydney CBD. This role is ideal for an experienced Surveyor who is currently studying and ready to take the next step in their career.

Working closely with our experienced Surveyors and Survey Manager, you will support a wide range of engineering, construction and cadastral surveying projects, gaining exposure to diverse work across infrastructure and development projects. This role offers strong mentoring and development opportunities within one of Australia's largest surveying employers.

Your Impact

In this role you will support both field and operational surveying activities, including:

  • Undertaking fieldwork functions including set-out, as-constructed, volumetric, conformance, detail and level surveys and boundary marking
  • Carrying out field surveys using accepted surveying techniques and good surveying practice
  • Assisting with cadastral, engineering and construction survey projects
  • Organising resources for field crews including equipment checks, vehicle preparation and loading materials
  • Ensuring survey equipment is maintained, calibrated and stored correctly
  • Monitoring supplies and assisting with equipment servicing and maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring all rechargeable batteries for survey instruments and tools are properly managed
  • Reporting any equipment faults or servicing requirements to the appropriate Surveyor
  • Maintaining vehicles and equipment to ensure they remain safe, clean and ready for field deployment
  • Contributing ideas and demonstrating initiative to support efficient and safe project delivery.

What you need to succeed

  • Diploma of Surveying (or recognised equivalent), or currently studying towards it
  • 2 plus year surveying experience.
  • A good understanding of survey technologies and equipment, including GNSS, Total Stations and data recorders
  • An understanding of NSW survey legislation, standards and guidelines
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team
  • A current open driver's licence
