- Trade qualified Light Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic with proven experience maintaining and repairing light vehicles;
- Strong faultfinding and diagnostic skills, supported by sound auto-electrical knowledge across vehicle systems.
- Holds a valid manual Driver's Licence and current First Aid & CPR certification, meeting site and client requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, prioritise, and schedule tasks effectively, adapting to changing operational demands.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and within a team.
- Safety-driven and improvement-focused, upholding Redpath's "Safety - First, Last and Always" principle and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Perform all maintenance and repair work in accordance with Redpath and Client Management Systems, statutory regulations, and site requirements, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality;
- Carry out scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs to light vehicles and, where required, assist with heavy equipment and fixed plant maintenance;
- Conduct effective fault finding, repair, and component replacement, ensuring all vehicles and equipment remain compliant and fit for purpose;
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop, accurately recording parts usage, completing maintenance worksheets, and filing required documentation daily;
- Complete all required pre-start checks, TTTCs, THAs, and actively participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and shift change briefings;
- Promptly report hazards, incidents, accidents, or near misses, only perform work you are trained and authorised to undertake, and complete any other duties reasonably directed by Redpath.
