About You

  • Current CA or CPA qualifications;
  • Analytical skills with experience in data analysis and expertise in Excel;
  • Focus on accuracy with high attention to detail;
  • Superior problem solving and adaptability;
  • Exposure to mining industry preferred;
  • Strong accounting skills;
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial results to a variety of stakeholders;
  • Experience with Oracle, JD Edwards, Pronto and various reporting tools (advantageous);
  • The ability to question and interpret results and seek answers to support operations;

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for supporting the Manager - Finance Business Partner to provide cost visibility, analysis, reporting and forecasting & budgeting is performed efficiently and accurately.

  • Reporting timely, accurate and reliable monthly results;

  • Manage the effective operation of clearing accounts by ensuring timely reconciliation, investigation, and resolution of reconciling items, while identifying root causes and addressing issues at source where possible;

  • Preparation of business unit annual budget, forecast and long term plan;

  • Produce reports to assist in the development of monthly management reporting and monitoring of budgets;

  • Providing comprehensive analysis to support decision making including recommending solutions;

  • Contribute to the preparation and ongoing maintenance of the budget;

  • Prepare presentations and written materials to communicate outputs from financial and commercial analysis;

  • Partnering with various stakeholders to help drive financial acumen across the business;

  • Collation and entering of ESG information into monthly reporting process.

  • Identify improvements in financial processes and systems and participate in the scoping, planning, and implementation of improvements.
