About the Role

Portmans is on the lookout for a confident, stylish, and commercially driven Senior Store Manager to lead one of our high-performing stores in Western/South West Sydney. This full-time position (38 hours per week) is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and has a strong background in managing a team of 10 or more.

You'll be responsible for driving sales, coaching and developing your team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience-while bringing that signature Portmans polish to everything you do. Availability for late-night trade, alternating weekends, and some public holidays is essential.

Day in the Life

    • Lead from the front to drive sales, KPIs, and store performance through strategic planning and flawless execution.
    • Inspire, coach, and develop a team of 10+ to consistently deliver high standards in customer experience, styling advice, and product knowledge.
    • Manage day-to-day operations including stock control, VM updates, and compliance.
    • Use your commercial acumen to build efficient rosters aligned with budgeted hours and productivity goals.
    • Cultivate an inclusive, energetic, and results-driven culture where your team can grow and succeed.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Store Manager or Senior Assistant Manager in a high-volume fashion retail environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading larger teams (10+), building strong culture, and managing performance.
  • Proven ability to drive store results through analysing reports, setting clear goals, and coaching in real time.
  • Strong skills in stock management, shrinkage reduction, and visual merchandising.
  • Passion for styling and delivering exceptional, customer-first service.
  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
