ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging demands of subsea exploration. Anduril has brought to market a unique, long-range maritime vehicle leveraging a flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. Today, Anduril is executing on existing contracts while simultaneously developing future capability across its product range.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team in Sydney. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge technology advancing subsea robotics and play a key role in delivering our AUVs to our customers. Working in a multi-disciplinary environment to scale our AUV production system, this role will involve assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, performing sub-assembly testing and integrating them into the final product to be ready for service!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

      • Work as part of a highly engaged team to build, test, and integrate complex electrical systems into our world class AUVs.
      • Follow detailed electrical and manufacturing documentation to assemble parts to engineering specifications.
      • Fabricate, solder and install wire harnesses with PCBA's and off-the-shelf components, including advanced sensors.
      • Perform configuration tasks to flash/load correct SW/FW versions onto devices.
      • Process work orders within a digital ERP / MES system for assembly task tracking, performing in-process inspections and accurately reporting quality requirements.
      • Apply a continuous improvement approach to daily work, 5S work areas and safe work practices.
      • Provide direct input and feedback to the Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams on DFM/A.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years experience in technician roles having worked in a similar environment (Automotive, Aircraft, Maritime, etc.)
    • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics, electrical diagrams, etc.)
    • Experience performing functional checkouts and tests desirable
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, seeking the highest quality output in your work
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture focused on team success
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance
