UNSW Canberra is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced candidates for casual Admin Support roles across Levels 4-6. This EOI will be used to establish a casual pool to provide proactive, effective administrative support to meet operational and service delivery needs.
Appointments will be made at a level in line with the successful applicant's skills, experience, and the complexity of duties assigned.
Role
Under the direction of the Defence Security Manager, the Administrator will support the implementation of UNSW security system processes across all UNSW business areas, in alignment with the requirements of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
This role offers opportunities for training and development, with the potential for progression to higher-level roles and consideration for ongoing employment, subject to performance and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities (Level 5)
Depending on the level of appointment, responsibilities may include:
Providing high-quality, day-to-day administrative and operational support
Offering advice and support on administrative processes and procedures
Developing and maintaining filing systems, spreadsheets, databases, and websites
Preparing agendas, minutes, correspondence, briefing notes, and guidelines for meetings and committees
Responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, escalating where appropriate
Facilitating administrative requests including purchasing, travel, credit card reconciliation, expense reimbursements, payment requests, and billing processes
Supporting projects, coordination activities, and service improvement initiatives
Complying with all University health and safety policies and procedures
About You
Relevant qualifications and/or substantial administrative experience
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
High-level written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
The ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
Eligibility
The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. These checks include verification of Australian citizenship, identity, a criminal history check, and two reference checks. No additional documentation or information will be required unless specifically requested by UNSW.
To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen in order to meet AGSVA eligibility requirements for a Baseline security clearance.
