Job Description
Our Outside School Hours Care service, Stretton State College Helping Hands,is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinatorto assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children.
This is apermanent part-timeopportunity offering 20 hours per weekto assist with leading a team of passionate Educators. You'll work Monday to Friday in split shifts across our programs:
- Rise then Shine Program - Morning shifts (6:15am - 9:00am)
- Stay and Play Program - Afternoon shifts (2:00pm - 6:15pm)
- Holiday HQ Program - Extra hours available during school holidays (6:30am - 6:00pm)

About your new role
As an Assistant Coordinator, you'll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
- Design and help lead a vibrant, childcentred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
- Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
- Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
- Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
- Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you're never doing it alone.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
- Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
- Has Australian work rights
