Fitter - Maintenance Underground

About The Role

Our Fitters help keep things moving underground, maintaining equipment so production can continue safely and efficiently.

We’re after 1 x Fitter to join the team on a mid-week backshift, rotating between afternoon and night shifts.

This role is based in Narrabri, NSW and is available on a residential or DIDO basis (Temporary camp for up to 3 months while you find a room share/rental), OR with relocation assistance on offer. What You’ll Do

• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance work on underground mining equipment
• Maintain plant availability through inspections, fault finding, diagnosis and remediation actions.
• Report on defects and update maintenance and production logs
• Complete planned and routine maintenance as per schedule.
• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.

What You’ll Bring

• Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
  Minimum 12-months experience working in an underground mine
• Experience working on mining or heavy earthmoving machinery
• Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon
• Ability to meet clean-shaven requirements in line with underground coal mining respiratory safety standards.
