HR Advisor
The HR Advisor provides development-focused partnership to the business leaders across Merieux NutriSciences AQ's QLD, NSW, and WA laboratory, technical, and operational sites.
This role ensures workforce compliance and administrative accuracy with a particular focus on driving people and capability development, implementing key HR initiatives and enhancing employee engagement and performance.
The HR Advisor acts as a change agent, supporting workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations in a highly regulated and unionised environment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support hiring managers and oversee the recruitment activities for operational and technical roles in NSW, QLD, WA.
- Support internal mobility by promoting internal opportunities and ensuring equity and fairness in the recruitment process
Employee Relations (ER)
- Provide initial advice to staff and line managers on HR policies, industrial instruments and Enterprise Agreement interpretations.
- Conduct workplace investigations and resolve grievances.
- Monitor staff turnover and provide preliminary data analysis to the HRBP.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for Enterprise Agreement negotiations and union meetings.
Workforce Administration & Compliance
- Manage the end-to-end employee life cycle administration, including new hires, transfers, and end of employment.
- Review employment agreements and contract variations.
- Ensure all practices comply with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Act as the primary contact for payroll-related queries and provide timely inputs to Payroll Services.
- Provide advice on remuneration and benefits, including leave entitlements and superannuation
- Ensure remuneration and benefits practices are compliant with legislative requirements and company policies.
