Assistant Brand Manager PURPOSE The Assistant Brand Manager is the voice of the consumer and plays a pivotal brand role in brand performance and the co-ordination of all aspects of the life cycle to meet business groups objectives. With key responsibilities including, but not limited to: Brand Strategy: Play a crucial role in the research, analytics, development and execution of effective brand strategies that drive the marketing mix to maximise positive impact to our consumers, whilst remaining in budgetary guidelines. In market, through the line Execution: Assist in the planning, execution and monitoring of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social and traditional media Develop brand consistency across all touchpoints Ensure an integrated through the line approach being a fundamental connection between category and sales teams Portfolio Management: Support in the analytics, review and development of the brand portfolio developing outcomes for optimisation KEY WORKING RELATIONS: Internal: Foster communication and collaboration between external and internal stakeholders including Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, Medical Marketing, Sales teams (including key account managers, field managers and territory managers) to ensure strategic directives are implemented within Bayer LIFE principles. External: External partners (media and creative agencies) - collaborate with external partners to develop creative assets ad execute marketing initiatives KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of assigned product group for profit maximisation. Business acumen & category / insights management. Management of limited P&I spend to maximise ROI. Review NPD opportunities and provide robust business strategies to leverage selectively. Teamwork & Interpersonal Development Actively participate in team events and conferences. Monthly forecast adjustments, integrating feedback from supply chain team and sales teams. Provide sales and territory managers with relevant marketing presentations, product images and copy for trade advertising. Achievement of Business Results P&I budget management, achievement of sales & profit targets for identified brands. Monitor and report on sales vs budget overruns or shortfalls and promotional expenditure. SKILLS: At least 2 years experience in a marketing/sales environment Tertiary qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Business/Marketing Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies Strong business acumen Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to work autonomously, organisational skills with strong attention to detail Demonstrated decision making/problem solving skills Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills (MS office) and knowledge of Nielsen.
