About the Role
Support safer communities by assisting in the design, delivery and evaluation of community safety initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders, analyse data, and engage residents to develop practical, innovative solutions that respond to emerging local safety needs.
What You'll deliver
- Support the design, delivery and evaluation of community safety projects, programs and initiatives.
- Conduct research, data analysis and reporting to inform evidence-based safety solutions.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders including community groups, agencies and service providers.
- Engage directly with the community through consultations, site visits and focus groups to address safety concerns.
- Contribute to planning and implementing innovative initiatives aligned to the Community Safety Strategic Service Plan.
What You'll Bring
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across community, government and partner organisations.
- Experience supporting or delivering projects, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills with experience in research, data collection and preparing reports or recommendations.
- Proactive, organised and adaptable approach in a fast-paced, multifaceted work environment.
- Knowledge or interest in community safety, crime prevention or Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design principles, with a commitment to improving community outcomes.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
