The Opportunity
The Advancing Innovation in Respiratory (AIR) Health Team is amulti-disciplinary group with expertise in clinical medicine, clinical trials,and respiratory biology, who are committed to improving the lives of children andfamilies with respiratory diseases, such as cystic fibrosis and asthma.
Asour program continues to grow, we now have an exciting opportunity for a ProgramCoordinator to provide essential administrative and operational support across ourresearch programs. Working closely with the Program Manager, thisrole primarily supports the BANK CF biobank initiative, including theorganisation and management of research samples and associated data to ensurethey are accurately recorded, tracked, and available for approved futureresearch use. This role will also support the integration of samples collectedthrough previous cystic fibrosis research studies and contribute to the ongoingmanagement of BANK CF's biospecimen collection.
This role will also provide broad administrative and operationalsupport to the AIR Health research programs as required, including assistanceacross multiple concurrent cystic fibrosis and asthma projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
- Support preparation of grant applications, milestone reports, and funding deliverables.
- Coordinate project documentation, timelines, and reporting requirements across multiple studies.
- Maintain operational records supporting accurate biobank inventory management.
- Maintain audit-ready databases and ensure accurate capture of participant, consent, and study data.
Based in our offices within Perth Children's Hospital in Nedlands,this full-time role will be offered for an initial 18-month period. Part-time(0.8 FTE) will be considered for the right candidate.
The salary range for this role is COMPENSATION.RANGE (full-time equivalent) + Super
About You
The successful candidate will be organised and adaptable, with theability to manage competing priorities in a varied research environment. Youwill hold a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. health sciences, biomedicalscience, project management) or possess equivalent experience. Along with this,you will demonstrate:
- Experience coordinating projects, or operational activities, preferably within a research, healthcare, university, or scientific environment, including the management of multiple concurrent priorities.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and databases, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Experience coordinating operational processes, including tracking workflows, managing documentation, and supporting delivery of project milestones.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, laboratory personnel, and external partners.
