Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking a proactive Soft Services Facilities Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day delivery of cleaning and other soft services at one of Australia's busiest aviation hubs. Reporting to the Regional Services Manager, this role ensures that high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and customer service are consistently achieved in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
This position is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement ability, and a background in managing soft services contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee delivery of soft services including cleaning, pest control, gardens, grounds and waste management
- Manage consumables and chemical ordering, usage reconciliation, and supplier coordination
- Conduct and report on routine cleaning inspections, raising action items and ensuring follow-up
- Facilitate BU meetings and prepare agendas/minutes
- Prioritise and deliver month-end reporting requirements
- Liaise with client representatives, internal teams, and vendors to ensure expectations are exceeded
- Utilise work order management systems effectively to track, allocate, and report tasks
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Experience in cleaning or soft services contract management
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence working with high-profile clients in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Desirable:
- Background in facilities management within aviation, government, or large-scale commercial sites
- Experience managing third-party vendor relationships
