About the Role

This role will be part of a new program called Safe Wayz which coordinates an integrated response for children under the age of criminal responsibility (currently 10 years in NSW) with problematic or harmful sexual behaviours (PHSBs). Safe Wayz adopts a strength-based, family- focused and culturally centred trauma-informed approach to working with children and families to help prevent behaviours from escalating.

Your responsibilities will include.

  • Deliver early support, counselling and safety planning for children under 10 with problematic or harmful sexual behaviours (PHSBs)

  • Coordinate and contribute to prevention and earlyintervention initiatives in partnership with Aboriginal communities and Aboriginalcontrolled organisations.

  • Conduct holistic psychosocial assessments that incorporate cultural needs, cultural care and family strengths.

  • Work collaboratively with Safe Wayz, SAS, CPCS, JCPRP and CAMHS teams to support integrated responses for children and families

  • Engage in clinical and cultural supervision and contribute to statewide networks, working groups, and professional development

  • Participating in a 24/7 on-call roster for crisis response

Employment Type: Contract Full Time until 30 May 2030 (pending ongoing funding)

Remuneration: $123,974.00 - $138,482.00 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications and registration (eg PACFA Counsellor / AASW Social Work / AHPRA Psychologist - ensure to upload evidence to your application

  • Experience and understanding of intergenerational trauma.

  • Skills in child-centred, family-focused counselling and case management.

  • Current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel.
