Where you'll be working

You will be based within the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment team in Northern Sydney Local Health District, working as part of an integrated project team alongside Health Infrastructure, capital project partners, and a broad network of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.


Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Change Manager for the Ryde Redevelopment, located within the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NLHD), will be responsible for management and coordination of the planning and delivery of the capital works transformation and change agenda, ensuring the change outputs and activities are maintained to a high standard and contribute to the achievement of the project vision, objectives and benefits
The Change Manager will assist and influence others to improve business processes so that users are well equipped to function in the new buildings. The Change Manager will coordinate and support the user project group meetings for the change management required to transition staff and their functions into an integrated service.
The successful outcome of the redevelopment will be a result of the collaborative partnership between NSLHD and their delivery partner Health Infrastructure. An Integrated Project Team has been formed and is a combination of NSLHD and Health Infrastructure resources, the capital consultant team, nominated clinical leads and representatives from partner organisations within Health including Health Share, eHealth and NSW Pathology.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a health-related/management field or equivalent experience.
  2. Describe your experience leading change management initiatives in a complex environment. How did you engage stakeholders and ensure successful implementation of change?
  3. Provide an example of how you have managed multiple competing priorities or complex projects while meeting tight deadlines. What strategies did you use to achieve outcomes?
  4. Outline your experience in communication and stakeholder engagement, including preparing high-level briefs, reports or facilitating workshops with diverse groups.
  5. High level excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including high level report and brief writing.
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex task/activities and to effectively lead project teams in achieving required outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  7. Extensive experience in change management process, facilitating meetings and the implementation of change.
