This is an exciting opportunity for senior Speech Pathologists to work in the dynamic and innovative Speech Pathology department of The Children's Hospital at Westmead. The successful applicants will work with infants and children with feeding disorders, dysphagia and communication difficulties, and participate in a rotating 7-day roster (8.30am - 4.30pm). The weekend shifts involve providing a service to infants and children in the Emergency Department or admitted to the inpatient units. We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate experience in the assessment and management of paediatric feeding disorders and dysphagia, and communication disorders. Experience in the acute care setting, disability sector, or Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies is desirable but not essential as training and support is available prior to staff being required to work independently in the inpatient units and VFSS.   1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  2. Extensive post graduate clinical experience with demonstrated advanced clinical practice and reasoning skills, with the ability to work autonomously while managing busy and complex client groups.
  3. Demonstrated experience in implementing quality improvement and service evaluation processes, including the use of evidence based practice, to assist and provide guidance to service managers.
  4. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication including well developed information technology skills.
  5. Experience providing clinical education programs / lectures to speech pathology students, parents and other professional groups.
  6. Demonstrated experience in staff and student supervision.
