Dual Diagnosis Clinician - Psychologist (Grade 2)

The Victoria Clinic is a modern, purpose-built inpatient mental health hospital featuring a gymnasium and rooftop recreation area. We offer a diverse and growing range of inpatient wellbeing and specialist programs designed to meet the evolving needs of our patients.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Psychologist to join our Allied Health team, working predominantly within the Dual Diagnosis Program (DDP). This role supports individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) concerns.

About the Role

As a clinician in the Dual Diagnosis Program, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality, trauma-informed treatment program. You will play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting colleagues, and fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and deliver group-based psychology interventions

  • Provide individual sessions to patients within the program

  • Contribute to the evaluation and ongoing development of evidence-based dual diagnosis interventions

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical reviews

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals

  • Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives

In addition, support other programs as required, including:

  • General wellbeing program

  • Group Schema Therapy Program

  • EMDR group

  • DBT skills-based group

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Psychologist with AHPRA (Clinical endorsement desirable)

  • Board-approved supervisor (desirable)

  • Demonstrated experience in AOD and/or dual diagnosis treatment

  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and treatment for comorbidity

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills

  • Training in Schema Therapy and/or EMDR (Desirable)

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - VIC / HVHP - Health Professionals Agreement - Level 2 classification starting from $46.7953 - $56.2982 per hour.
