About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts and Administration Officer to join our team in Fremantle, WA. This position is responsible for the delivery of efficient financial, clerical, and administrative services, ensuring the accurate processing of accounts and the timely receipt of payments. The role is critical to maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the smooth operation of the business. This is an onsite role Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain new business and individual customer accounts, including credit checks and fuel card administration.
Process and allocate all customer receipts, including cash, cheques, direct deposits, credit card payments, and scheduled direct debits.
Prepare and distribute debtor statements, reconcile customer accounts, and provide account information and detailed listings as required.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including aged debtor reporting, end-of-month reporting, and follow-up of overdue accounts.
Process accounts payable invoices, including coding, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Provide administrative and customer service support by handling enquiries, processing cash sales and invoices, and assisting the wider administration team as directed.
Qualification & Experience
High attention to detail
Good communications skills (verbal and written)
Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Highly organised & good time management skills
Ability to work with urgency without compromising standards
