This is where you come in:


We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Engineering & Reliability Manager to join our leadership team at Yatala.

This is an opportunity for a proven engineering leader who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will lead the Engineering and Reliability function, oversee maintenance and capital projects, and play a key role in the Site Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Engineering and Reliability team.

  • Manage maintenance activities, contractors and labour hire resources to maximise site performance and minimise downtime.

  • Drive reliability, asset performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Deliver the site's Reliability Maturity Strategy and 3-Year Master Plan.

  • Manage engineering budgets, maintenance costs and critical spare parts.

  • Lead the delivery of site capital projects.

  • Partner with Operations, Quality and Safety teams to improve productivity, safety and quality outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with company, safety and legislative requirements.

About You

You are a proven people leader with strong engineering and maintenance experience gained within FMCG, food manufacturing or another complex manufacturing environment.

You'll bring:

  • Strong leadership experience within Engineering, Maintenance or Reliability.

  • Experience managing contractors, labour hire and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to be visible on the floor.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset. RCA experience using 5 Whys/Fishbone will be highly regarded.

  • Experience in managing maintenance operations utilising computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)

  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenance planning, including budget control

  • Electrical trade or engineering qualifications or equivalent professional experience in the field of engineering is essential
