Completions Engineer
About Role:
UGL are seeking an experienced Completions Engineer to join our team on an ongoing basis working on a major Oil & Gas project. This is a Perth based role working a 5:2 Roster.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the transition from construction to commissioning by coordinating completions data, documentation, and system alignment to meet project standards and milestones. You will track progress, manage ITRs and punch lists, and proactively resolve risks while working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Completions Execution & Coordination
- Oversee the transition from construction to commissioning by managing completion data and systems
- Manage the compilation of as-commissioned drawings, test packs, and handover dossiers
- Ensure documentation meets project and client standards for final delivery
- Support delivery of work scopes in line with working processes and sub-systemisation strategy
- Drive progress toward Mechanical Completion (MC) and Ready for Commissioning (RFC) milestones
- Coordinate completion activities across multiple disciplines and contractors
Work Pack Interface
- Ensure all scopes are aligned to completion systems and subsystem boundaries
- Validate completion scope coverage and identify any gaps early
- Work closely with planners to ensure sequencing and schedule supports completions priorities
- Punch list and Works to go management
ITR & Dossier Management
- Review, track, and manage Inspection Test Records (ITRs) for completeness and quality
- Identify and close gaps in historical and current ITR documentation
- Support compilation of handover dossiers in line with Chevron/CBT requirements
Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Track completion status at system and subsystem level
- Report progress, risks, and constraints into project reporting dashboards
- Support development and use of Power BI / completions dashboards
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks to achieving completion milestones (documentation, scope gaps, sequencing issues)
- Proactively drive resolution with stakeholders
- Escalate critical risks impacting MC / RFSU / handover
Stakeholder Engagement

Interface with:
- Engineering teams
- Site execution teams (day/night shift)
- Completions/Commissioning leads
- Chevron stakeholders
- Provide clear communication on status, risks, and required actions
About you:
Experience
- Proven experience in Completions / Commissioning / Project Engineering roles
- Experience working in brownfield oil & gas or LNG facilities (highly regarded)
- Familiarity with Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Commissioning, and Handover processes
Technical Knowledge

Strong knowledge of:
- ITRs and completions systems
- Systemisation and subsystem breakdown
- CTRs / EWPs and execution planning interfaces
- Experience working with completions management systems (e.g., CCMS, Compass, WinPCS preferred)
Skills
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management capability
- High attention to detail, particularly in documentation and verification
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced execution environments
- Proactive mindset - identifies issues before they become problems
