Are You the Right Fit?
You are an experienced and adaptable neonatal professional with a strong commitment to education, leadership, and highquality patient care.

  • Extensive neonatal experience, with the ability to care for complex neonates and support families, underpinned by strong quality, safety, and infection control practices
  • Passionate about education, providing learning and development for Special Care Nursery staff and supporting neonatal emergency education across Maternity, Birth Unit, ED, and Theatres
  • Flexible, organised, and responsive to service needs, able to work 5 days per fortnight (ideally Thursdays, Fridays, and alternate Wednesdays) with excellent timemanagement skills
  • A collaborative team player, demonstrating active listening, strong communication, and effective engagement with multidisciplinary teams and district counterparts
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, innovative, supportive of new practice, and competent in policy development and continuous improvement

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Demonstrated experience in neonatology and care of complex babies.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment and training skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in written, verbal and conflict resolution.
