Your New Role

As Manager, Member Compliance, you will lead and mature a firstline compliance function to partner with key departments within the Member domain. Reporting to the Principal, Member Compliance, you are a key leader within the Member Governance & Accountability function and a trusted partner to a group of key stakeholders. The Member Domain is made up of various departments that deliver products and services to members. This role has an initial focus on insurance and operational compliance within the superannuation environment, however may expand and evolve as the Fund grows and adapts to changes across the industry.

You will be responsible for supporting the management of ongoing compliance and associated risks, across a portfolio of regulatory obligations relating to superannuation and financial services, including but not limited to the SIS Act, Corporations Act, license conditions, and prudential standards.

Leading a team of compliance professionals, you will drive a strong Members First compliance culture, provide expert and pragmatic advice, and support the delivery of strategic initiatives and regulatory change across Member Domain.

In this role you'll:

  • Lead and mature a firstline compliance capability within dedicated focus within Member Domain
  • Provide strategic and practical compliance advice and technical subjectmatter expertise on superannuation and financial services regulations.
  • Manage and oversee the completion of various compliance related tasks which include, but not limited, to breach assessments relating to incidents, obligations management and ensuring member communications and operational practices meet regulatory expectations.
  • Partner with business leaders to embed compliance requirements into projects and change initiatives and oversee regulatory change.
  • Execute and embed the requirements of the Compliance Management Policy and Standard, and the broader Risk Management Framework within the first-line of accountability.
  • Identify and escalate emerging compliance risks.
  • Contribute and drive highquality compliance reporting and insights for leadership, executive and governance forums.
  • Lead, coach and develop a highperforming compliance team, fostering accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate and provide support to and across the leadership team within the Member Compliance to achieve common goals.
  • Build strong, influential relationships across Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3 functions and external stakeholders
  • Champion a strong risk and compliance culture aligned to the Fund's values and purpose

What You'll Need

  • 7+ years' experience within superannuation in similar or relevant role
  • Strong understanding of superannuation compliance regulations
  • Deep knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations and prudential standards
  • Proven leadership experience, including people management and leading teams through complexity and change
  • Strong judgement, analytical capability and the ability to operate effectively in highpressure environments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and regulators
  • Commercially astute, pragmatic and outcomesfocused
  • Ideally tertiary education in business or legal related discipline.
  • RG146 accreditation
