Job Description
Orthopaedic Registered Nurse | Epworth Richmond
Exciting opportunity for Orthopaedic Registered Nurses to join Epworth Richmond, delivering high-quality surgical care within one of Australia's leading joint replacement services.
Join a high-performing surgical team supporting patients through recovery, mobility, and independence.
About the Role
In this role, based at Epworth Richmond, you will work within our dedicated Orthopaedic wards delivering high-quality, evidence-based care across the full patient journey-from pre-operative assessment through to rehabilitation and discharge.
You will care for patients undergoing:
- Total hip and knee replacements
- Revision joint surgery
- Shoulder, spinal and trauma-related procedures
- Pre- and post-operative surgical care
Our Orthopaedic Wards
You'll work across our specialised surgical units:
- 6 LEE - 35 beds
- 5 LEE - 37 beds
- 3BE/4BE - 35 beds combined
We support thousands of patients each year through:
- 4,000+ joint replacements
- 1,100+ trauma admissions
- A diverse mix of elective and acute surgical care
What You'll Bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Strong surgical nursing foundations
- Orthopaedic experience (preferred, but not essential - we'll support you to grow!)
- A collaborative, safety-focused approach
- A passion for helping patients recover, regain mobility, and return to what they love
Qualifications
About You
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Strong acute or surgical nursing experience
- Orthopaedic experience desirable (training supported)
- Passion for supporting patient recovery and mobility
- Team-focused with a strong commitment to patient safety
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous learning
You'll be part of collaborative teams delivering holistic, patient-centred care from admission through to discharge.

The annual salary for a full time Registered Nurses - AUD $82,237 - $103,280 + super + entitlements depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
