This is a two year maximum term full time position based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Manager Procurement & Contracts you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the sourcing and delivery of goods and services to the business. You will deliver the best possible commercial outcomes for the business while servicing key stakeholders including operations and project delivery teams. The opportunity Leading the process of sourcing goods and services by engaging with the market, preparing and issuing tender documentation, analysing and negotiation of commercial terms, and recommendation for award. Ensuring best commercial and operational outcomes are achieved for the business in respect to price, quality, service, delivery requirements, supplier support, safety and sustainability. Executing contracts and ensuring effective handover to contract owners and stakeholders in accordance with company procedures. Managing the performance of contracts by measuring and ensuring agreements are honoured in relation to price, quality of service, and delivery timelines; mitigating the risk of underperformance. Acting as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers. Leading the stakeholder engagement and procurement strategy. Preparing contract and procurement related performance and activity reports, ensuring accuracy of information and data. Providing trusted and fact-based commercial expertise to the business. Assisting contract owners with the contract management lifecycle, including contract renewals, administration of variations and claims, and contractor performance monitoring. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance policies. Supporting continuous improvement in contracting strategies and processes Supporting capital project requirements by ensuring early stakeholder engagement and involvement in the capital budgeting process for the project Participating in cross functional projects and initiatives, ensuring contract management considerations are embedded. We would love to hear from you if you have: Relevant qualifications in Contract Administration or Procurement. Strong relevant end to end procurement experience in a similar role. Demonstrated leadership capability within a small team. Experience within the mining or resources sector. Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with site personnel, suppliers and customers. Ability to set priorities and meet schedule deliverables. Proficient in the use of Pronto or similar software. Experience in major project delivery would be an advantage.
