CIMIC Group, is seeking an experienced Advisor, Injury Management to provide expert guidance and leadership in the effective management of post-incident employee injuries across the business. This is a pivotal role supporting operational teams to deliver compliant, efficient and people-focused injury management outcomes.

About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to provide functional delivery, guidance, processes, tools and support to ensure the effective management of injuries and claims across CIMIC.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide proactive, timely and effective injury management and return to work support to projects and business units.

  • Coordinate workers compensation claims and injury management activities in accordance with legislative and company requirements.

  • Support early intervention, rapid response and recovery at work outcomes.

  • Ensuring compliance with injury management processes, procedures, legislation and company standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on illness and injury management matters.
  • Manage claims processes including investigations, appeals, disputes, and legal matters.

  • Supporting business units with fitness for work assessments, including support for salary continuance and income protection claims.
  • Monitor claims estimates and ensure wage remittances processes and are implemented and accurate.
  • Coaching and supporting internal stakeholders in injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work (RTW) best practice.
  • Building strong working relationships with project teams, RTW Coordinators and operating companies.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of rehabilitation and return-to-work initiatives.
  • Monitoring injury trends, identifying risks and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting performance reporting, analysis and improvement of injury management outcomes across sites.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with external providers, consultants and regulatory bodies (including Workcover).

About You - Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Allied Health or nursing qualification with AHPRA registration.
  • Accredited Return to Work (RTW) certification.
  • Proven experience managing injury management programs within a large organisation (construction, resources or similar industries preferred) across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and injury management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing workplace injuries and claims end-to-end.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and coach at all levels.
  • Experience in reporting, analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering timely and high-quality support.
