About the role

Bring your passion for people, retail, and community impact to one of Australia’s most trusted organisations. As our Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving the success of a new Red Cross Store while helping create a warm, inclusive space for customers, volunteers, and the local community.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations and confidently steps into leadership when they’re away. You’ll lead from the floor, spending around 90% of your time engaging with customers, coaching volunteers, and ensuring the store looks exceptional. Your focus: drive sales, deliver outstanding customer service, and build a motivated, high performing volunteer team.

  • Experience supervising a retail store, ideally fashion or recycled goods
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to build inclusive, high performing teams
  • Awareness of current fashion trends and brands
  • Visual merchandising and presentation skills
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work varied shifts
  • A positive, solutions focused attitude and high initiative

This role is covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2020, Level 4. Pay from $28.12 / hour + casual loading + superannuation, with access to salary packaging.
