Join a compassionate Palliative Care team and play a meaningful role in supporting patients, families, and carers through the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. This role provides essential administrative and secretarial support to medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the service. It offers the opportunity to build strong working relationships across a multidisciplinary team while developing valuable skills in healthcare administration and coordination. The position includes a varied workload involving managing correspondence, coordinating appointments and meetings, and supporting clinical documentation processes in a sensitive and rewarding environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally, sensitively, and respectfully with patients, families, carers, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate appointments and meetings, maintain accurate records, and ensure administrative tasks are completed efficiently. A high level of compassion, empathy, and professionalism is required to provide administrative support in a palliative care setting, with sensitivity, discretion, and respect for individuals experiencing complex and emotional circumstances.


Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Demonstrated experience in a secretarial, administrative, or clerical role within a healthcare or related environment with advanced organisational skills including calendar/diary management, meeting coordination and minute taking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with patients, families, and members of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office software packages including, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Flexibility to work across both Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals.
