What you'll be doing
In this role, you will provide patient-centred perioperative nursing care, ensuring safe and effective clinical outcomes while adapting to the demands of a busy surgical environment.
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to patients and families
Assess, monitor and respond to changing patient conditions
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes
Supervise and support ENs, AINs and students where required
Coordinate care, including discharge planning and appropriate referrals

Essential Criteria:
Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1. Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
2. Current perioperative experience in Anaesthetics and/or Recovery speciality areas.
3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
5. Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
6. Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
7. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
