Position Purpose An opportunity has become available for an Accessory Business Unit Project Manager. As the ABU Project Manager, you will bridge the gap between product strategy, local manufacturing execution, and external commercial growth. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of automotive accessory programs, while actively driving the enhancement and expansion of our 3rd party business portfolio. This role ensures that both proprietary and third-party accessory programs are designed, tested, manufactured, and delivered to market on time, within budget, and to Nissan's uncompromising standards. Key responsibilities include: 3rd Party Business Growth: Actively collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and 3rd party clients to identify, develop, and integrate new accessory business opportunities into the plant's production pipeline. End-to-End Program Delivery: Lead cross-functional project teams (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Production) to manage accessory lifecycles from concept approval to mass production. Timeline & Milestone Management: Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, ensuring all stakeholder milestones are met. Financial & Commercial Accountability: Manage project budgets, tooling investments, piece-cost targets, and profitability metrics to maximize ROI on both Nissan and 3rd party initiatives. Risk & Quality Assurance: Proactively mitigate supply chain or technical risks while ensuring all localized and third-party accessories strictly adhere to Australian Design Rules (ADR) and quality standards. To be successful in the role, you will ideally bring: Strong project management capability within manufacturing or automotive environments Experience managing 3rd party relationships or external client programs A strong understanding of manufacturing processes (Fabrication, Powder Coating, lean manufacturing, die casting, machining, Tooling & industrial assembly operations) Strong communication, accountability and stakeholder management skills Exposure to AutoCAD, NX and MS Projects Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Project Management or related discipline preferred If you are a commercially minded Project Manager looking to shape the future of automative accessories and drive 3rd party business success, we want to hear from you.
