As Sales Lead for BUSINESSiQ, you'll own the commercial direction of a powerful regional brand - including the magazine, the well-established Impact campaign, and the prestigious BUSINESSiQ Awards. This is a focused brief with real ownership. No split priorities. No distractions. Just one brand with real market presence - and the freedom to maximise it.

With a hybrid working approach, you'll split your time between the office, home, and being out on patch - meeting clients, building connections, and driving new business across the North East.
You'll be the dedicated commercial voice for BUSINESSiQ, working closely with the Business and Commercial Editor to drive new partnerships across the North East.

This is a pure B2B sales role, focused on identifying opportunities, opening doors, and converting relationships into long-term commercial success. With strong foundations already in place, your job is to build on that reputation and turn it into revenue.
You'll be out in the market, engaging with decision-makers, understanding business challenges, and positioning BUSINESSiQ as a valuable partner in their growth.
- Drive new business development, identifying and securing commercial partnerships across the North East
- Take full ownership of BUSINESSiQ's commercial offering including the magazine, Impact campaign, and awards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers
- Create tailored, consultative solutions for clients within the B2B marketplace
- Represent the BUSINESSiQ brand confidently across the region, both in meetings and at events
- Manage and grow a pipeline of opportunities, converting leads into long-term partnerships
- Collaborate closely with editorial to align commercial activity with brand direction
- Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within media, advertising or a commercial environment
- A natural new business hunter - motivated, resilient and driven to win
- Strong knowledge of the North East business landscape, with existing connections highly desirable
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Commercially astute, with a consultative approach to sales
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own time across a mix of office, home and field-based work
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
