  • Deliver specialised care to respiratory patients, supported by relevant qualifications
  • Educate staff, patients, families and carers to promote safe, confident care Provide respiratory education across wards and service areas
  • Support inpatients with education and coordinated followup at home to reduce hospital readmissions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary management plans involving patients, families and carers
  • Work across both hospital and community settings to support continuity of care

  • Strong interest in respiratory nursing with relevant qualifications
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Confidence attending journey board rounds and identifying patients appropriate for discharge and community followup
  • Willingness to work across inpatient and homebased settings
  • Commitment to patientcentred care and collaborative practice

Selection Criteria

  • Do you currently hold Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, relevant post-registration qualification and at least 3 years full time equivalent experience working the clinical area of your qualification?
  • Give a brief overview of what education training and clinically relevant experience you bring with you to the role?
  • Please outline your experience and qualifications in respiratory nursing. In your response, describe your clinical background, any relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications, and your experience providing care to patients with respiratory conditions across inpatient and/or community settings.
  • Highlight the main factors driving your interest in this position and express what aspects of joining the team at Fairfield Hospital motivates you the most.
