What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in the Huntington's Unit, you will provide highquality, individualised nursing care while contributing to a safe, responsive and patientfocused service. Recent nursing experience of at least one year as registered Nurse is highly preferred.

You will:

  • Deliver efficient, personcentred nursing care to patients and families

  • Respond to changing clinical needs and manage competing priorities in a busy environment

  • Coordinate care and make appropriate referrals to support safe discharge planning

  • Supervise, mentor and support students and staff within your scope of practice

  • Communicate effectively to advocate for patients and manage resources responsibly

  • Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated recent nursing experience relevant to the position and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice

  2. Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care

  3. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care

  4. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means,; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
