GIS Analyst
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from GIS professionals to join our growing Environment and Geosciences practice in Western Australia.
Our GIS team provides specialist spatial support across a broad range of technical teams, including ecology, environmental approvals, geoscience, contaminated land, marine, and rehabilitation and closure projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary project teams, GIS plays a critical role in enabling datadriven decisionmaking across the project lifecycle.
As our business continues to grow, we are keen to connect with GIS and Remote Sensing practitioners across a range of experience levels, from earlycareer analysts through to experienced specialists.
The role is based in our Perth office, and we offer flexible work arrangements such as work from home, staggered hours and additional Purchased Leave. Day to day tasks could involve:
Delivering core GIS services such as spatial analysis, cartography, data management and quality assurance
Supporting project teams with spatial advice and adhoc GIS assistance
Designing and maintaining field data collection workflows and spatial schemas
Developing and supporting webbased GIS applications and dashboards
Undertaking spatial and temporal analysis across environmental and geoscientific datasets
Contributing to remote sensing projects, automation initiatives and workflow improvements
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated spatial solutions
Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
Keeping up to date with emerging GIS and spatial data trends and technologies
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Essential
- A relevant qualification in GIS, Spatial Science, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Practical experience working with modern GIS tools and workflows
- Familiarity with the ESRI ecosystem (desktop, web and field-based solutions)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- A genuine interest in spatial data, environmental science and continuous learning
Desirable
- Experience with scripting, automation or data processing (e.g. Python, R, FME)
- Exposure to remote sensing, image analysis or spatial data modelling
- Interest in improving workflows, developing new capabilities or supporting business growth
