The United Workers Union is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Member Services Team in either Sydney or Perth on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Membership Services Team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional day-to-day support to UWU members while ensuring high-quality and accurate data management..
Please note: If the position is based in our Perth office, an early start time of 7:00 am is required to align with operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver professional and friendly service to all Union members, including staffing inbound phone lines
- Process membership transactions including new applications, financial updates, and resignations
- Maintain high standards of data entry accuracy and proactively improve data quality
- Resolve member enquiries and escalate issues where required
- Adhere to established procedures, systems, and work practices
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with data protection guidelines
- Undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the role
- Promote and uphold the Union’s values of equity, diversity, and inclusion
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
A Member Services Officer demonstrates:
- Excellent customer/member service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry capability
- Ability to follow processes and take direction effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
- A genuine commitment to the values of the United Workers Union
To perform this job, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:
- Right of Entry Permits; and
- Immunisation against COVID-19 or have a medical exemption
REMUNERATION
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:
- Competitive Base Salary: $79,203 gross per annum (UWU Level 2)
- 16% superannuation;
- 4 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
