Key Capabilities

• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019
• Proven experience in managing Postgresql 9.6, 14.4 databases and cluster management using EDB Failover Manager tool (EFM)
• Expertise in managing high availability solutions (Failover clusters, mirroring, Always On Availability Groups) and replication
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issues
• Proven experience in using tuning methodologies and tools to solve performance issues
• Experience is using monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Foglight and Solarwinds to proactively monitor DB availability, performance and capacity
• Experience with Oracle, AWS (RDS) or Azure database administration highly regarded
• Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation

Experience and Qualification

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Management, or equivalent qualification

Experience

• 3-5 min years experience working with relevant technologies, including all aspects of database support and delivery
• Proven experience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise systems in a 24x7 environment
• Demonstrated experience in agile ways of working
• Demonstrated ability to drive a continuous improvement culture
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams
• Ability to foster cross team collaboration
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation and associated regulations
• Knowledge of gambling and entertainment industries (nice to have)
