APRA AMCOS is a member-owned music rights management organisation, positioned at the intersection of music, data and technology. We have more than 128,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members' music, and we distribute the royalties to our members.
We're looking for a Payroll Officer to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract (supporting a parental leave vacancy).If you're a detail-oriented payroll professional with three or more years' experience in a medium to large environment, we'd love to hear from you!

As a Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in that experience-ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the payroll inbox and responding to employee queries in a timely and professional manner
- Managing payroll changes and preparing accurate instructions for outsourced providers
- Liaising with the outsource providers to ensure seamless payroll processing
- Coordinating fortnightly and monthly pay runs across Australia and New Zealand
- Reviewing draft payroll reports to ensure all changes have been captured correctly
- Identifying, quantifying, and escalating exceptions prior to final review by the Payroll Lead
- Supporting compliance across AU & NZ payroll legislation
What you'll bring
- Solid Australian payroll experience, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
- Comfortable managing end-to-end payroll in partnership with outsourced providers
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies
- Confident reviewing payroll data and reports, and responding to queries with clarity and professionalism
- Able to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines while maintaining quality
