The Role
We are currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and with at least one full year of nursing experience.
The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.
The Location
Emu Plains Correctional Centre, located 57 km west of Sydney, operates two specialized programs focused on rehabilitation and family support. The Women and Children's Residential Program, based at Jacaranda Cottages, allows children from birth to school age to live full-time with their mothers and offers short stays for children up to 12, helping reduce the impact of incarceration on families. The Men's Work Release Program supports male offenders in minimum security with reintegration, employment readiness, and reducing reoffending as they transition back into the community.
