Job Description

AECOM's Melbourne Highways team is delivering some of Victoria's most important transport infrastructure projects, helping shape the future of how people and communities connect across the state and beyond.

As a senior leader within our ANZ Transport business, you will combine technical excellence, project leadership, client relationship management and strategic growth to help drive the continued success of our Highways team. You will work alongside some of the industry's leading professionals, contributing to major pursuits, mentoring future leaders and influencing the direction of transport infrastructure across Victoria and Australia.

How you'll make a difference

  • Lead the delivery of complex highways and transport infrastructure projects across Victoria and ANZ

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across multidisciplinary project teams

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key clients including the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning, Major Road Projects Victoria, local government and private sector clients

  • Identify and lead business development opportunities, strategic pursuits and work winning activities

  • Mentor, develop and inspire technical and project delivery teams across the business

  • Contribute to the growth, capability and long-term strategy of the Highways business

  • Collaborate with leaders across Australia and New Zealand to drive innovation, best practice and project excellence

  • Represent AECOM in the market through industry engagement, client relationships and thought leadership

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick every box, we still encourage you to apply.

  • Extensive experience delivering highways, roads and transport infrastructure projects within a consulting environment

  • Strong relationships and experience working with Victorian transport clients

  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects

  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management, business development and work winning

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project performance and contributing to business growth

  • Recognised technical expertise within the highways and transport sector

  • Chartered status and/or RPEV highly regarded

  • A passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams
