What you'll be doing
In this role, you will manage and coordinate elective admissions and waiting lists, ensuring patients are booked accurately and efficiently in line with policy and procedural requirements.
Process and review Recommendation for Admission (RFA) forms, ensuring compliance with policy requirements
Enter and maintain accurate data on electronic waiting lists and booking systems
Schedule clinic and theatre appointments and coordinate patient communications via phone, email, and mail
Liaise effectively with medical, nursing, administrative, and external stakeholders including private clinics and community services
Monitor, audit, and maintain waiting lists to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and service standards are met

Selection Criteria:
Relevant experience in admissions and bookings processes
Experience with computerised patient administration systems
Sound knowledge of NSW Health Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy
Experience in a customer service role demonstrating effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work productively within a team, and to work autonomously when required
Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
Demonstrated understanding of Medical Terminology
