Where you'll be working
You will be based at Westmead Hospital, one of the largest and most dynamic tertiary referral hospitals in New South Wales, and part of the wider Western Sydney Local Health District. The Pharmacy Department plays a vital role in supporting patient care across the hospital, ensuring medications are safely and efficiently distributed to wards and clinical areas. You will join a collaborative, high-performing team that values accuracy, teamwork, and responsiveness in a fast-moving clinical environment.

What you'll be doing
In this role, you will provide essential technical and logistical support to the Pharmacy Department, ensuring medications are delivered accurately, safely, and on time across the hospital. You will play a key part in maintaining efficient patient flow and supporting clinical teams through reliable pharmacy services.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting safe and accurate medication distribution to wards and clinical areas
Assisting with pharmaceutical dispensing, production, and service activities as directed
Ensuring medication handling aligns with legislative requirements and hospital policies
Contributing to quality assurance activities and performance monitoring programs
Participating in rostered overtime, weekend work, and on-call requirements as needed

Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated good communication skills
2. Demonstrated experience in delivery of heavy goods on a regular basis.
3. Demonstrated ability to carry out all physical tasks/manual handling of pushing, pulling, lifting many boxes up to 15kg/box, loading trolleys up to 300kg frequently as listed in Physical Demands Checklist.
4. Demonstrated satisfactory computer skills.
5. Demonstrated experience in stock control.
6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise large workload and have good time management skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as working cooperatively in a team environment.
8. Must be willing and able to work late shifts and overtime on weekends as required.
